Operation Hastings was the Battle where Harold Dillard received the Vietnam Gallantry Cross. The campaign took place on July 1, 1966 and Harold Dillard was recognized for his Gallantry in the conflict in October of 1966.

Harold Dillard was engaged in another major conflict along the DMZ called Operation Hickory where he was Killed in Action on May 25, 1967.

Let us never forget the Marines sacrifice.
